Ashley Bella (born June 7 1985, in Atlanta), is an American visual artist, formally known as Ashley Nicole Ruffin, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
She painted a mural on the exterior wall of the historic building the King Center, in 2021. She also painted a mural at the Delta Airlines headquarters, telling the story of her former work in help human trafficking survivors. [1] [2]
She partnered with MARTA Artbound and the City of Atlanta Department of Transportation to paint 150 cement barricades that formed a bike lane on Lee St along the West End MARTA station. [3] They hired Bella to manage the project and coordinate the community paint days, and the Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) is donating the barriers. [4]
In 2016, she left her day job and made her hobby a business. [5]
She is the owner of Artzy Bella, an art studio in East Point. [6] The studio teaches people to use art as a therapeutic tool. [7]
She is a Georgia State University alumni. [8]
Ashley Bella serves as the Co-Chair of the Arts and Cultural Subcommittee. [9]
