Andy Hopper ran for election to the Texas House of Representatives to represent District 64. [10] [11] [12] He lost in the Republican primary on March 1, 2022, by 88 votes. [13] [14] [15] There was a recount of the votes. [16] [17] During his campaign, Hopper emphasized border security. [18] [19]
Hopper announced his candidacy for Texas House District 64 on June 5, 2023.
Hopper graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science from Ohio University in 1997 and a Master's of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of North Texas in 2000. [20]
