Andrzej Mariusz Fal (born March 26, 1964 in Wroclaw, Poland) is a Polish physician, internist, allergologist and economist, the first President of the Mensa Poland Association (1990–1994), [1] a university professor at the Faculty of Medicine. [2] Collegium Medicum of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw.
Born in 1964 in Wroclaw. [2] [3] Graduated in medicine [4] from the Wroclaw Medical University (1988) [5] and in economics from the Wroclaw University of Economics (1996). [4] In 1991, he obtained a first degree specialization in internal medicine, followed by a second degree specialization in internal medicine in 1994 and a second degree specialization in allergology in 1996. [6]
He received his doctoral degree in 1993 from the Medical University of Wroclaw on the basis of a thesis in allergology. [5] From 1997 to 1999, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. [7] He was accused of plagiarism in his doctoral dissertation, but the charges were investigated and dismissed, so on October 17, 2003, the Council of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Wroclaw was able to adopt a resolution to grant him a postdoctoral degree. In 2010, an application was filed for a review of the postdoctoral proceedings on the grounds that Wave had violated the law, including copyright and good morals. The case was reviewed by the designated Medical University of Bialystok, and on March 16, 2016, the university found the allegations to be unfounded. [8]
In 2022, he was awarded the title of professor in the discipline of medical and health sciences. [9]
