Ali Plumb is a British film critic, broadcaster and journalist, primarily known for working for BBC Radio 1.
Whilst studying English Literature at Warwick University, [1] Plumb worked with the student radio station RAW 1251AM [2] [3] and the university’s student paper, The Boar. [4]
Plumb worked for five years at Empire [5] [6] and Digital Spy's movies editor [7] [6] before, on 18 December 2015, [8] joining BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra as their film critic, where he also appears weekly on Radio 1 Breakfast and Going Home with Vick and Jordan [9] and runs Radio 1's Screen Time podcast [10] and BBC Radio 1's Movies With Ali Plumb [11] Plumb co-hosted, with Vick Hope, the 76th British Academy Film Awards red carpet pre-show for BBC. [12]
