The Gaza Solidarity Encampment is an occupation of the campus of Columbia University by pro-Palestinian students meant to protest the university's investment policies. [1] The protesters demand that the university divest from companies that they are allege are complicit in apartheid and the genocide of Palestinians. [2]

History

At around four in the morning on April 17th 2024, protesters set up tents on a lawn located on the east of the quadrangle of Columbia University's Morningside Campus. [1]
