Dim Tu Tac ( Chinese: 點都得), founded in 2015, is a Cantonese cuisine and dim sum restaurant chain in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. [1] 'Dim tu tac' means "anything you want" or "anything is possible" in Cantonese language. [2] The name also expresses the restaurant's mission to help food lovers explore the Cantonese gourmet world through a combination of innovative cooking techniques and the using of ingredients from many different culinary cultures. With the motto "Good Cantonese Food", the restaurant aims to provide customers with dishes that are not only delicious but also good for their health. All the ingredients are carefully selected and inspected daily to ensure the highest level of freshness and quality. [2]
At Dim Tu Tac, the most popular ingredient is shrimp, which is incorporated into many of its menu items. [2] Other than that, the restaurant's menu consists of a wide range of dishes from dim sum, appetizers, soups, rice & noodles, family-style meals, BBQ and vegetarian dishes to drinks and desserts. Dim Tu Tac always focuses on promoting traditional and modern values in each of their dish. The chefs make the dishes using a variety of traditional Cantonese cooking methods such as steaming, stir frying, roasting, and grilling. [2] In addition, the restaurant offers monthly and seasonal menus with new dishes being introduced on special occasions. [2] Besides, as a typical contemporary and fusion-based restaurant, the chefs takes great pride in creating new dishes by using different ingredients and preparation methods that are strongly inspired by the Cantonese cuisine. Most of the restaurant's chefs are international experts who come from Singapore, Hong Kong and different parts of China. [2] For each branch, the chefs are divided into three culinary majors: main course, roast, and dim sum. The chefs are carefully chosen to take charge of a respective branch based on a specific Chinese regional cuisine and the cooking skills required. [2] On a weekly basis, the chefs have to travel to different branches to conduct tests and trainings for kitchen staff to ensure the restaurant's high standards are uniformly maintained. [2] Furthermore, they are also encouraged to travel to other leading culinary destinations to find inspiration for creating new dishes.
