Denzel Prempeh née Denzel Agyeman-Prempeh is a Ghanaian-born gospel musician and pastor. [1] [2] [3] He is a reverend pastor at Destiny Chapel, Mount Zion in Adenta, Accra. [4] In 2010 he established 'HeartbeatMusic' [5] and has released two live albums, 'Tent Experience' (2014), and 'A Sound from Heaven' (2015), and four singles, 'Sweet Holy Spirit' (2017) and 'Obiaa Enihor', [6] 'Meni Obiaa', [7] and 'Ayeyi', [8] (2018) on the 'HeartbeatMusic' label.
Denzel was born in Ejisu, Ashanti Region, the third of nine children of Agyeman-Prempeh Senior. He was educated at St. Andrews Junior High School and was a member of the school choir. He moved to Presbyterian Boys Senior High School and became the music director of the school choir. He joined the Chosen Vessel Choir at the University of Ghana, and was the music director of the University's Mass Choir. In 2006, he joined the Love Project Choir under the leadership of Danny Nettey. [9] [10]
Agyeman-Premeph is married to Maame Agyeman-Prempeh, with whom he has two children. He is a pastor at Destiny Chapel, Mount Zion in Adenta, Accra. [4]
Denzel founded HeartbeatMusic (HBM) in Ghana in 2010 as a non-denominational Christian music group, which has spread to the United Kingdom, United States of America and Germany. He has released four singles and two live albums on the Heartbeat label. [11] His program,'Touching God's Heart' (TGH) was voted the Best Event Management System by Shine Awards in 2017. [12] [13] HeartbeatMusic Worldwide has organized concerts, [14] [15] and in 2017 the Heartbeat Foundation was set up to support families of individuals with cerebral palsy. [16] [17]
