Dead Pony is a four-piece rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. [3] The group consists of Anna Shields (vocals), Blair Crichton (guitar), Liam Adams (bass) and Euan Lyons (drums). [4]

Their EP War Boys was released in September 2022 and was inspired by the 2015 movie Mad Max: Fury Road. [5] [6] A further EP, Rainbows, was released in Feburary 2024, later followed by their debut album, Ignore This, in April of the same year. [7]

History

Dead Pony have toured with acts such as CHVRCHES, [8] Mother Mother, [9] The Maine, and Twin Atlantic. [10]

Summer 2022 saw the band play their Glastonbury Festival debut after they were chosen by Wolf Alice to play on the BBC Introducing stage that year. [11] The band also played at TRNSMT festival for the first time on River Stage. [12]

Dead Pony were nominated for the SAY Award and The Sound of Young Scotland Award in 2022. [13]

Following a Main Stage appearance at TRNSMT in 2023, [14] the band played the UK festivals Truck, Y Not, Kendal Calling, and Belladrum Tartan Heart.

In September 2023 the band completed their debut headline tour of the UK which was sold out across all 14 dates. [15]
