Damonic Williams (born September 4, 2004) [1] is an American football defensive tackle for the Oklahoma Sooners. He previously played for the TCU Horned Frogs.

Early life and high school

Coming out of high school, Williams was rated as a three star recruit, the 34th defensive tackle, and the 423rd player in the class of 2021. [2] Initially Williams decided to commit to play college football for the California Golden Bears, however he would de-commit and then re-commit in a span of 24 hours then in just 12 hours he would de-commit again and commit to TCU. College career

Williams decided to forgo his senior season in high school and enroll early at TCU for the 2022 season. [5] In Williams' freshman season in 2022, he started all 15 games for the Horned Frogs where he notched 27 tackles with four and a half being for a loss, and a sack and a half. [6] For his performance in his freshman season Williams was named a true freshman All-American. [7] During the 2023 season, Williams played and started all 12 games for TCU, tallying 33 tackles with five being for a loss, and three sacks. [8] For his performance on the 2023 season, Williams earned honorable mention all Big-12 honors, and was named an honorable mention for the Big-12 defensive lineman of the year award. [9] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Williams decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal. [10] [11]

Oklahoma

Williams decided to transfer to play for the Oklahoma Sooners. [12] [13]
