Daere Afonya-a Akobo is a Nigerian [1] entrepreneur. He is the group managing director of PE Energy Ltd [2].

Education

Afonya holds a degree in applied physics from Rivers State University and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, the INSEAD Business School and the Jack Welch Management Institute. [3] [4]

Career

Afonya has over 24 years of experience in the operations of the oil and gas sector across a wide range of disciplines, including electrical, flow measurement, sales, and procurement. [5] [6] Afonya specialized in flow metering, vibration and condition monitoring, instrumentation, and control, which propelled his success in the Sub-Saharan African Oil and Gas sector. [7] [8]

He works as an entrepreneur and the current Chairman of PANA Holdings. He is the Group Managing Director of PE Energy Limited, DK-Lok Nigeria Limited and Kari Care Technology Limited. He is the founder and president of his company, the "Daere Afonya-a Akobo Foundation". [9] [10]
