DG Cement is a Pakistani building materials company which is owned by Nishat Group. [4] It is one of the largest cement manufacturer of Pakistan with a production capacity of 14,000 tons per day. [5] [6]

The company has three active plants which are present in Khairpur, Chakwal, Dera Ghazi Khan and Hub, Balochistan. [5]

History

DG Cement was established in 1986 by state-owned company, State Cement Corporation of Pakistan in Dera Ghazi Khan. [7] The plant was supplied by Ube Industries of Japan. [7]

In 1992, DG Cement was acquired by Nishat Group. [8]

In 2004, DG Cement established its second plant in Khairpur, Chakwal at a cost of PKR 9 billion. [9]

In 2015, DG Khan setup its third and one of the largest plant of Pakistan in Hub, Balochistan. [10]
