C. piceivittis is found in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, southern Mexico, and Nicaragua. [2]
C. piceivittis is oviparous. [2]
Two subspecies are recognized as being valid, including the nominotypical subspecies. [2]
