Chet Narayan Acharya ( Nepali: चेत नारायण आचार्य) is a Nepalese politician, belonging to the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist). He is currently serving as the Chief Minister of Lumbini Province since 22 July 2024. [1] [2] Acharya has been serving as a member of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly from Archakhanchi 1 (A) constituency since 2018. [3] [4] [5]
Acharya has been elected as the parliamentary party deputy leader of the CPN (UML) in Lumbini Provincial Assembly on 2 January 2023. [6] [7] [8] He had previously served as the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law; [9] [10] Minister for Drinking Water, Rural and Urban Development and Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of Government of Lumbini Province.
