Chagallu mandal is one of the 19 mandals [2] in East Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is administered under Kovvur revenue division and its headquarters are located at Chagallu. [3] The mandal is bounded by Kovvur, Nidadavole and Devarapalle mandals. [4]
As of 2011 [update] census, the mandal has 12 settlements. Chagallu is the most populated and Nandigampadu is the least populated village in the mandal. [5]
