This is not necessarily a good idea, for two reasons.

I see two problems with this:

  • There are not that many described starfish species, which may make this category rather sparcely populated, in the final analysis.
  • Enwp category names in general tend to have names in the plural. Here, most categories have names in the singular. In at least one case, the difference has not been noted, leading to confused attempts to get a "Starfishes" category into the "Starfish" category tree. See the history of Category:Starfishes described in 2009! Probably, if these categories should be kept, they still should be migrated to new names in the plural.
