Counties represented and not represented

1. The following ten counties elected MPs to this parliament - Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Louth, Meath, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford. All of them except Westmeath had first elected Members of Parliament in 1297. [1] Tipperary and Waterford are in Munster and the remainder are in Leinster.

2. The following ten counties appear on the list of constituencies for this parliament, with blanks for the members elected - Antrim, Ards, Clare, Connacht, Cork, Down, Kerry, King's County, Limerick, Queen's County. Connacht, Cork, Kerry and Limerick had first elected Members of Parliament in 1297. [1] Ards and Connacht are no longer counties. King's County (now Offaly) and Queen's County (now Laois) are in Leinster. Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick are in Munster. Antrim, Ards and Down are or were in Ulster.

3. The following fourteen present-day counties do not appear on the list of constituencies for this parliament - Armagh, Cavan, Donegal, Fermanagh, Galway, Leitrim, Londonderry, Longford, Mayo, Monaghan, Roscommon, Sligo, Tyrone and Wicklow. Roscommon had first elected Members of Parliament in 1297. [1] This list includes all five of the present-day counties of Connacht, seven of the nine present-day counties of Ulster, and Counties Longford and Wicklow, which are in Leinster.
