Opposed speedy move request

  • Oppose both, and revert article renaming. An expansion of the scope requires an RM. Marcocapelle ( talk) 21:00, 20 December 2021 (UTC) reply
    • Not sure what an RM is? The merger of the 'de Burgh family' page (William de Burgh and his bros) with 'House of Burke' page (William's Irish descendants first called de Burgh later becoming Burke and Bourke, and some later reverting back to de Burgh) means that all the family and descendants (whether de Burgh, Burke) are now included on one page as a single dynasty (as per other dynasties). This merger was approved. In terms of the categories, there are already de Burghs (ancient and more recent ones) included in the category of 'House of Burke' (not my expansion of the category) and the 'Burials Sites of the House of Burke' include two sites relating to the burials of people called 'de Burgh' not 'Burke'. Since both these categories relate to the same single dynasty (i.e. the House of Burke is the House of Burgh) their renaming should not be in any way controvertial. • WilldeBurgh RM is Wikipedia:Requested moves. This is not a C2A spelling correction as Burgh and Burke are both valid spellings. C2D does not apply where an article has recently been moved without a page move discussion. TSventon ( talk) 11:06, 21 December 2021 (UTC) reply
