Countries = places, nations = peoples. It seems a valid distinction to me. I see that you have put them into the same head categories, which makes it more confusing than before. If there is no support for this merger proposal then I will put them back as they were. -

The thing is we don't have separate articles for peoples and countries. i.e. Moabites, Canaanites, etc redirect to Moab, Canaan, etc, plus there's overlap and a lack of a clear distinction between the two cats.
