Private Use Area which are needed for some reason in an article. Such characters should be encoded through their Unicode number (&#x...;), so that the article can be edited with AWB, and formatted in a way that forces the use of a supporting font (at a minimum {{
IPA}}).
The PUA characters in these articles may eventually be accepted by Unicode. Once common fonts (such as those used by Wikipedia's Unicode and IPA templates) are updated, the PUA character should be replaced with its new Unicode value.
