The surname Mountbatten-Windsor is used by the male-line descendants of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth II and their spouses.

They are actually members of the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg and Mountbatten-Windsor can as such be considered a cadet branch of that house.

They are female line descendants of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (actually the cadet branch using the name Windsor since 1917) and the House of Battenberg, among others.
