Catalina Figueroa Fernández (born 28 January 2005) is a Chilean footballer who plays as a defender for Universidad Católica [ es] and the Chile women's national team.

Club career

A product of the women's team of Universidad Católica, Figueroa officially joined the first team in the 2021 season. [2] She and her teammate Millaray Cortés were the first players to sign a professional contract with the club on 1 February 2022. [3] She became the team captain. [4]

International career

In 2022, Figueroa represented Chile U17 in both the South American Championship [5] and the FIFA World Cup, [6] becoming the team captain. [7] [8] She also represented the under-20's in the South American Championship [9] and friendlies against Costa Rica. [10]

At senior level, she received her first call-up in February 2022 for the friendly against Ecuador. [10] The next year, she made her debut in a 0–4 loss against Argentina on 17 February 2023. [11] She made a second appearance in a 0–4 loss against Brazil on 2 July of the same year. [12]
