Clube de Futebol Santa Clara is a Portuguese sports club founded in 1923 in the freguesia (civil parish or borough) of Santa Clara, Coimbra. [1] [2] [3] [4] The sports departments and sporting disciplines it has housed include competitive men's and women's aikido, athletics, fencing, futsal, handball, judo, karate, tai chi, volleyball and swimming. Among the most notable former record-breaking athletes of C.F. Santa Clara are Conceição Moura, [5] [6] [7] Aniceto Simões and José Carvalho. [8] [9] It was the first youth team of Hugo Seco, a Portuguese professional footballer, where he started training and competing in the club's futsal youth team. [10] [11]
