Bucloc, officially the Municipality of Bucloc ( Ilocano: Ili ti Bucloc; Tagalog: Bayan ng Bucloc), is a 6th class municipality in the province of Abra, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 2,395 people. [3]
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the municipality has a land area of 63.77 square kilometres (24.62 sq mi) [5] constituting 1.53% of the 4,165.25-square-kilometre- (1,608.21 sq mi) total area of Abra.
Bucloc is politically subdivided into 4 barangays. [6] Each barangay consists of puroks and some have sitios.

Bucloc, belonging to the lone congressional district of the province of Abra, is governed by a mayor designated as its local chief executive and by a municipal council as its legislative body in accordance with the Local Government Code. The mayor, vice mayor, and the councilors are elected directly by the people through an election which is being held every three years.
