Bostan Zar ( Persian: بوستان زر) [a] is a city in the Central District of Falavarjan County, Isfahan province, Iran. Bostan village was a merger of the villages of Dorcheh Abed, Hajjiabad, Largan, and Largichi. [3]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the population (as the combination of its constituent villages before their merger) was 4,597 in 1,219 households, when it was in Ashtarjan Rural District. [4] The following census in 2011 counted 4,962 people in 1,521 households, [5] by which time the village had been established as an amalgamation of four villages. [3] The 2016 census measured the population as 5,309 people in 1,678 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district. [2]
After the census, the village of Bostan was elevated to the status of the city of Bostan Zar. [6]
