Bishop Wilson Theological College was founded as a theological college in 1879 [1] to train Anglican clergy [2] to serve in the Church of England. [3] It was named after Thomas Wilson, [4] Bishop of Sodor and Man between 1697 and 1755, located in part of [5] Bishopscourt [6] and closed in 1943. [7]
