Berbera District ( Somali: Degmada Barbara) is a district of the Sahil province in Somaliland. Its capital lies at Berbera.

The city is primarily inhabited by people from the Somali ethnic group, in particular by the Isamusa [2] clan which is sub-clan of the Isaaq family clan. [3]
