Basavanagudi Assembly constituency is one of the 224 constituencies in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly of Karnataka a south state of India. Basavanagudi is also part of Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency. [1] It has also been considered as the stronghold of BJP as it has been winning the constituency with huge margin everytime. [2] Congress has only won the seat once in 2004 in the span of past 45 years.
