Balghelu Rural District ( Persian: دهستان بالغلو) is in the Central District of Ardabil County, Ardabil province, Iran. [3] Its capital is the village of Sham Asbi. [4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 21,368 in 4,966 households. [5] There were 7,297 inhabitants in 1,987 households at the following census of 2011. [6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 8,054 in 2,334 households. The most populous of its 18 villages was Sham Asbi, with 2,817 people. [2]
