Ascobolus brantophilus mainly has an Arctic and Subarctic distribution. It described in 1989 from Greenland, Ellesmere Island and Svalbard [3] and has since then been reported from Iceland, [4] [2] the Shetland Islands [5] and the Falkland Islands [6]
