Asad Alam Siam is a Bangladeshi diplomat. He is the current ambassador of Bangladesh to Austria since September 2023. [1] He is also the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the International Organizations in Vienna. [2] [3] Prior to this, he served as the ambassador to the Philippines and Palau. [1] [4] [5]
Siam completed his bachelor's in architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and an MBA from Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands. [1] He belongs to the 15th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) of Foreign Affairs cadre. [1]
Siam joined the foreign service in 1995. [4] He served as the Chief of Protocol and Rector of the Foreign Service Academy. [3] He then served as the first consul general of Bangladesh in Milan, Italy. [1]
