The Apostolic Nunciature to Uruguay is an ecclesiastical office of the
Catholic Church in
Uruguay. It is a diplomatic post of the
Holy See, whose representative is called the
Apostolic Nuncio with the rank of an ambassador.
Pope Pius XII established the Nunciature to Uruguay on 10 November 1939[1] after more than thirty years without any representation of the Holy See there.[2]
