[2] Allocreadiidae are distinguished from other Trematoda in the cercarial stage, where the cercaria have both an eye-spot and a stylet. [2] The cercaria of Allocreadiidae also develop in lamellibranchs, whereas many other trematodes develop in gastropods. [2]
