Aliabad-e Zarein ( Persian: علیآباد زارعین) [a] is a village in, and the capital of, Qaleh Zari Rural District of Jolgeh-ye Mazhan District, Khusf County, South Khorasan province, Iran. [4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 260 in 73 households, when it was in the former Khusf District of Birjand County. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 207 people in 59 households. [6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 225 people in 76 households, [2] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Khusf County. [7]
