Ali Niyaz is a Maldivian politician and member of the 19th session of People's Majlis from Hulhumale district. He is a member of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP). [1] He was minister of state Notional Office, Northern Region appointed by President Mohamed Nasheed on 4 May 2011. [2] In the parliament, he sponsored several amendment bills including Bill to amend the Decentralization Act (No. 7/2010), Bill for the  Amendment to the Sports Act (No. 30/2015 and Bill for the amendment of the Local Council elections Special provision (2020).
