Alain Ducellier (5 May 1934 [1] – 29 September 2018) was a French historian and professor emeritus at Université de Toulouse-Le Mirail who specialized in Byzantine studies and Christianity in the middle east. [2] He was the author or editor of more than 40 books. [3]
In 2004, a symposium was published in his honor: Byzance et ses périphéries : hommage à Alain Ducellier [4] He retired in 2003, and died on 29 September 2018 at the age of 84. [5]
