Abu Sayed Bengali: আবু সাঈদ; 2002 – 16 July, 2024) was a Bangladeshi student activist who was shot dead by the Bangladesh Police on 16 July, 2024, [3] while protesting against verdict on quota reinstatement in government jobs infront of Begum Rokeya University Rangpur, Bangladesh. [4] [5] The place was known as parker mor. Parker mor was later renamed Abu Sayed Chattar. [6] [7] [8]

Early life

Abu Saeed's house in Babanpur village of Pirganj upazila of Rangpur. His father Maqbul Hossain and mother Monowara Begum. They are six brothers and three sisters. Abu Saeed is the youngest among six brothers. He won a talent pool scholarship in the fifth grade from the local Junuder Para Government Primary School. Later, he passed SSC with Golden GPA-5 from Khalashpi Bimukhi High School in the area. Then he passed HSC from Rangpur Government College with GPA-5. Later he got admission in English department in Begum Rokeya University. He was a 12th batch student of English Department of Begum Rokeya University. [9] [10]
