Ableukhov ( Russian: Аблеу́хов; masculine) or Ableukhova (Аблеу́хова; feminine) is a Russian last name. [1] Variants of this last name include Oblaukhov/Oblaukhova (Облау́хов/Облау́хова) and Obleukhov/Obleukhova (Облеу́хов/Облеу́хова). [1]

It derives from a patronymic which itself is derived from the nicknames "Облаух" (Oblaukh) and "Облаухий" (Oblaukhy)—alternatively spelled "Аблеух" (Ableukh) and "Облеухий" (Obleukhy)—meaning someone with round, plump ears. [1]
