Abdul Aziz (born 11 January 1986) [1] is a Pakistani former footballer who played as a midfielder.
Aziz first played at a local Karachi club called Tanzeem Sports Gizri. [2] He then represented departmental side National Bank from 2003 until 2019. [1] Aziz also had a brief stint at Aiolikos in Greece in 2016. [1]
Aziz earned his first senior international cap on 12 June 2005 which was the first game in a series of three games against India, the game finished 1–1 draw. [1]
He was the vice-captain of the U-23 national team during the 2004, 2006 and 2010 South Asian Games, where he helped Pakistan achieve the gold medal in the first two editions. On 2004, he scored in the final against India, where his goal in the 29th minute gave Pakistan a 1–0 victory. [3] [4]
