  • José Luiz Datena - TV news presenter. First set to be candidate for mayor for the Democratic Labour Party (PDT), [2] he then changed parties in December 2023 to the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB), to be the vice-mayor in Federal Deputy Tabata Amaral's ticket. [3] He changed parties again in April 2024 to the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB), keeping as Amaral's running mate [4] Later public statements by the party and Datena indicated that he would instead run for mayor himself. [5] The launch of his pre-candidacy was set to be on the first days of June, but was postponed, with a part of PSDB and Amaral still pushing for a joint ticket. [6]

Potential candidates

Brazilian Social Democracy Party
