The meeting was highlighted by a 5000 metres world record attempt. It was won unexpectedly by Hagos Gebrhiwet of Ethiopia in a time of 12:36.73, less than two seconds behind the 2020 world record by Joshua Cheptegei who was also in the race. [1]
