Kim Clijsters defeated Caroline Wozniacki in the final, 6β3, 5β7, 6β3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2010 WTA Tour Championships. It was her third and last Tour Finals singles title.
Serena Williams was the defending champion but did not participate due to injury.
Wozniacki and Vera Zvonareva were in the contention for the year-end WTA No. 1 singles ranking. They met in the semifinals and Wozniacki retained the top ranking by reaching the final.
Francesca Schiavone and Samantha Stosur made their debuts in the event.
