American college football season
The 2009 Austin Peay Governors football team represented
Austin Peay State University as a member of the
Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) during the
2009 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Governors were led by third-year head coach
Rick Christophel and played their home games at
Governors Stadium. They finished the season with an overall record of 4–7 and a mark of 3–5 in conference play, placing seventh in the OVC.
