The 1973–74 Harty Cup was the 54th staging of the Harty Cup since its establishment by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1918. [1]
St Finbarr's College were the defending champions. [2] [3]
The Harty Cup final was played on 31 March 1974 at Dr Mannix Sportsfield in Charleville, between St Finbarr's College and Limerick CBS, in what was their second meeting in the final overall and a first meeting in seven years. St Finbarr's College won the match by 10–11 to 2–02 to claim their sixth Harty Cup title overall and a record-equalling fourth title in succession. [4]
Tadhg Murphy was the top scorer with 6-20.
