The 1953 Indiana Central Greyhounds football team was an American football team that represented Indiana Central College (now known as the University of Indianapolis) as a member of the Hoosier Collegiate Conference (HCC) during the 1953 college football season. In their second and final year under head coach Dave Shaw, the Greyhounds compiled a perfect 8–0 record (6–0 against Hoosier opponents), won the HCC championship, and outscored opponents by a total of 154 to 52. [1] [2] The 1954 season was the only perfect season in Indianapolis Greyhounds football history. [3]
