12Go is a Singapore based travel agency headquartered in Thailand. It specializes in door-to-door travel services. It operates in both B2B and B2C services. [1] The company initially operated in the Asia-Pacific region, but it now offers routes worldwide through its participation in Travelier Group, formerly known as Bookaway Group. [2]

Since 2019, 12Go has operated its own buses in Thailand under the name 12Go Transport, with a designated bus stop in Bangkok. Southeast Asia’s largest airline, Airasia uses 12Go’s services for its app called ‘Super App’. [3] [4]

History

12Go started as a small travel agency serving an Asian market, with services mainly in Thailand. In 2015, it launched its first routes outside of Thailand, covering countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. In the following years, the company gradually launched routes in more countries, including outside of the greater Asia-Pacific. [5] [6] [7] [8]

12Go's charitable donations include the initiation of a fundraising campaign for a school for orphans in Siem Reap, Cambodia, and donations to the Umpang Hospital, which accommodates economically weaker patients in Thailand near the border triangle with Myanmar and Laos. [9]

In 2021, 12Go, along with 5 other travel agencies, became a part of the Travelier Group, with 12Go being the operating service for the Asia Pacific region. [10]

In October 2022, 12Go was selected as the service provider for Southeast Asia’s largest airline, Airasia’s Super App, in order to enable the integration of different modes of transport into the app with allegedly 10.6 million people using Airasia’s Super App in the same month. [4] [11] [12]

Operations

12Go provides different types of travel services, such as flights, ferries, rail passes, tour packages, and travel insurance, to travelers through its online platform. [1] As of October 2022, when 12Go became the providing OTA (Online Travel Agency) for Airasia's Super App, it provided more than 4,000 transport operators, with the largest coverage still in the Asia Pacific region. [4]

The Travelier Group, which 12Go serves in the Asia Pacific region aggregated over 1.5 million travel options by July 2022. [13]
