http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:South_Korea_rail_transport_stubs This comes up on Google, but is not listed below? Any reason? I don't know if this the correct place to ask this, but is there a stub for a person who designed ships? (The article in question is Ole Aanderud Larsen.) The Bone III 02:51, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
1. Remove the comment about *D as obsolete as no one bothers to mark on the stub types page anymore which stubs have been proposed for deletion. Saves a few bytes.
2. Establish three templates {{WPSS*B}}, {{WPSS*R}}, and {{WPSS*W}} to handle placing the *B, *R, and *W markers. Won't do anything to change load times for people looking at the stub list, but it will shave a little off the size of the edit text and at the same time it'll regularize the appearance and code of those markers.
3. Drop the stub type size counts. We have a bot that regularly patrols the stub types looking for overlarge stub types for To Do so I fail to see the utility of keeping the counts on the main stub list anymore. Presumably the bot could also bring to attention undersized stub types as well.
Obviously #3 will reduce the size the most, but it will require a major change in the way we do things. on this page. The first two are only incremental improvements. Caerwine Caer’s whines 05:20, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
I read an argument near the top of this page to the effect that this page's incredible size is acceptable because it's a maintenance page and isn't meant to be read. Bear in mind that's not a quote, and it's probably a slight distortion of what was actually said, but it's a good straw man for my point here. Let the maintenance page be huge, nobody seems to want to read it (unless you're a hardcore dab fixer, I guess), or maybe it's just the intermittent dab fixers like me. What would it take to make a seperate page that's much easier on the loading facilities? From what I've read, such pages have already been made; why are they not being advertised, are they buggy, or substandard in some way? Xaxafrad 20:32, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
I've started to implement the WPSS*B template. Unfortunately, so far adding missing *B links is doing more to lengthen the list than using the template is doing to shorten it. Caerwine Caer’s whines 23:43, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
I note that if we drop the counts, then it removes the requirement (in any case a somewhat soft one, "only" relating to the amount of work involved -- there's no actual 'bot involved, btw) to keep the page in one piece to facilitate updating those. So we could then have a 17 (say) sub-pages, which one could then transclude on one version of /ST, and link to from another, which would further facilitate those that find the size of the whole page at-a-gulp unreasonable, even for just loading it. There are eight "Sport stubs by nationality" subcategories of Category:Sports stubs (Australia, Belgium, India, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, South Africa), none of which are listed here. Hi all - looks like one user has unilaterally decided to "fix" this page by turning into a duplicate of Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/List of stubs. Unless I've missed something really obvious, and I've been looking for an hour, all the arts are missing and many of the artistic professions.
People by occupation: Musician, [inc any subcategories eg classical musician], poet [ditto], author [ditto], Performance Artist, etc
Music, Literature, Poetry, Sculpture, Fine Arts, etc
There are one or two inclusions in ogranizations that imply they all shoulbd be there though: Music organization stubs, Art organization stubs, etc
Have I missed something? How do I tag "This music-related article is needing expansion"?

Would you credit it: I found it at the top just after I wrote this... Why, oh, why are they hidden away on a separate page? Science isn't and it is just as big, if not bigger. Also, I assumed the top few sections were just a generic explanation of this page, not a portal to other pages containing yet more stubs. The Culture subpage needs much great highlighting... Have done the same for Geography, as that was almost impossible to spot. I have also added the list of subcategories below the category title as some of these are surprising, eg Buildings and structures being under Geography. I thought geography was The study of the physical structure and inhabitants of the Earth. Don't see how this includes buildings and structures which are really forms of architecture. Jubilee♫ clipman 18:18, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
On a diiferent matter: why the separate stubs for those two sexual items particularly? There seems no real need to split the category up. I can understand the porn one actually, as it is huge, but the BDSM one only contains 113 items which could be sent back to sex quite comfortably, given that sex contains many items that are probably BDSM anyway, eg Autosadism, Emasculation, Breast binding, and Anal jewelry. Also Erotic furniture is not necessarily BDSM. Just my 2c... Jubilee♫ clipman 18:18, 23 December 2008---- (UTC)

Regarding Veterans_Songs, I had to hunt around in the stubs until I finally decided on {{ US-band-stub}}. I then added an explanation after the name of the stub that it "Includes drumming groups." Whereupon another editor reverted my addition with the comment that "Believe it or not, drummers are musicians." (Rather a snarky remark, I thought.) If anybody wants to add a stub for North American drumming groups of all kinds, whether Native American or Japanese-American or Cuban-American or whatnot, I would be glad to use it. Or maybe there is already a better stub: Somehow I can't see that a drumming group is a "band." But what do I know? Yours in friendship, GeorgeLouis ( talk) 00:08, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Now, the page is restored in all its un-loadable glory. :-) Neier ( talk) 13:48, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

There's a small mistake on this page just before the Science section - see WikiPedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types#Science. I tried to correct it but I got a blank page as before. The Compact List is fine. Can it be fixed by an Admin? Kathleen.wright5 07:40, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
hey guys how can I start my own stub, is it the same as starting my own article, but then I put a template under it, ex. stub or something of that nature?
If you could help me and write me a message on my talk page I would appreciate it, Thanks, Bamex002 ( talk) 08:13, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

I've found {{ socialwork-stub}} by digging around in categories, but can't see it in the list of stubtypes. Is it there? Could it be added - not sure where, as there's nothing much on "Society" except for "Sociology" under "Science - other", which is a bit of a struggle to find! Or am I missing something? I reverted the two Argentinean University stubs entries for several reasons
I see some value in keepting {{ Argentina-university-stub}} but {{ Arg-National University-stub}} should be deleted as not needed.
I will fix {{ Argentina-university-stub}} and have it feed into Category:South America university stubs Dbiel ( Talk) 20:45, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
I created a new category for fictional (or I guess they could also be non-fictional, but by fictional I mean that it isn't speaking of an actor, but the actual character) characters on television shows. It is located here, but I don't know where to put it in the list. If there is another one that I missed that is the same thing (I couldn't find one; all I found were television actors) could someone please delete it? Otherwise, could someone put it in the list. Thanks G man yo ( talk) 14:05, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Have hopefully made it more obvious to anyone expecting everything to be listed here that it is not. Jubilee♫ clipman 10:42, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Is this page out of date or something? There are 5569 links to templates from WP:SST + Culture + Geography, however, there are just under 13,000 pages in template namespace that end in -stub [1]. That seems like an awful lot of rogue stubs. – xeno talk 16:17, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

This page is enormous and my browser is struggling to load and render it. This is probably a deterrent to editors from bothering to use the correct one. I suggest it needs to be broken into multiple pages.

The article for Scam baiting really needs a stub template but I'm at a loss as to which type to choose. I don't want to use a generic {{internet-stub}} tag and the article is categorized under Social engineering (computer security) but I'm not finding an existing stub type for that category. I almost gave it a {{security-software-stub}}, but that's not really what the article is about. Can anyone suggest a stub(or add a stub to the page)? I am not familiar with all regulations in en-wikipedia. I noticed, that a user recently created a new stub-template and spread it over dozens of articles (e.g. here) although there is already another stub-template. Is this suitable? In my opinion there should be only one stub-sign per article. --cefalon 22:39, 14 July 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cccefalon ( talk • contribs)
