It is also a collection of medical specialities which focus on the diagnosis of disease based on changes in microscopic morphology and the determination of death, which includes forensic pathology. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list there.

Articles

Preferred Nomenclature (see talk page)

Experimental pathology preferred to Investigative pathology

Clinical pathology preferred to Laboratory medicine

Clinical chemistry preferred to Chemical pathology

Anatomical pathology preferred to Anatomic pathology

Articles needing creation or improvement

Improving the quality of the "core" pages listed on the template {{ pathology}} (see below) is a top priority for the project. Note that some of the "tools" pages (e.g. electron microscopy) are well-developed but lack coverage of the topic in the context of pathology

Project notice

The template for marking an article as part of the Pathology task force is part of the WikiProject Medicine banner, {{ WPMED}}. It can be inserted into an article's talkpage with:

{{WPMED |class= |importance= |pathology=yes |pathology-imp= }}

The first "importance" parameter is the subject's importance to the overall field of medicine, according to the guidelines here. The importance of a subject to the field of pathology should be listed with the "pathology-imp" parameter.
