Hello User1042, I think you are doing a great service by adding a needed logo for the article Star Banc Corporation! Unfortunately the current image is not of the highest quality since the logo appears to have been obtain from a low quality gif file from a circa 1999 website. Have you considered redrawing the image as a high quality SVG vector file which would better enhance the article? If you are unable to draw, have you considered asking for assistance from Wikipedia:Graphics Lab? (I have yet to figure out on how to submit a request to them yet.) (FYI, I found another version of the logo from their 1997 Annual Report.) Thanks for the advice. Their page needs to improve their GUI design since there is just too much too look at. Great job on the new improved logo! Very quick turn around!!! Did you draw it yourself? Or is that a product of the graphics lab? The Star Banc Corporation! article now looks more professional. It would be nice if we can find logos of their predecessor, First Cincinnati, and their immediate successor Firstar Corporation. Do you plan to clean up one of your earlier contributions, the logo for H. P. Wasson and Company? Is it from a late 19th century newspaper ad? Great job on the SVG version of the Star Banc Corporation logo!!! The low-quality gif of the logo of Firstar Corporation is good enough for now. Too bad the annual report itself was never archived. To create an SVG from the low-quality gif, I would suggest first converting the gradient greenish background to a solid background before separating out the typography from the stylized star. Don't worry about finding a logo for the "First National Bank of Cincinnati". If anyone cares, I would suggest look at old ads in the Cincinnati Enquirer archive such as this and this. The SVG trace of the HP Wasson and Company's logo is much better than I would thought possible. Only when the logo is scaled up would a person noticed the imperfection caused by obtaining the original image from an old physical newspaper (e.g. close characters overlapping and bleeding into each other on newsprint) instead of using a computerize font program.
