Howdy! Don't get many visitors here. Too far back in the sticks, I reckon...

Please leave messages for me at the bottom of this page.

If I don't respond within a reasonable amount of time, the fishing is probably good!

If I don't respond for a very, very long time, then you better keep editing without me!

That WikiOtter...

I was extremely busy for a while and I finally realized that in your kitten you mentioned locating a WikiOtter. Do you mean Sloggerbum? Blocked. Turns out it was just a sockpuppet this whole time. It's actually a shame; Sloggerbum helped me clean up my edits to Feather and Bone: The Crow Chronicles and also Wikipedia:WikiPuma. I don't see it as WikiOtter, really. More like a WikiBuffer; it takes your rough article and makes it something polished. Brambleberry of RiverClan MewTail 13:53, 6 July 2012 (UTC). reply

Actually I was simply joking about "finding a WikiOtter", referring to how a WikiPuma will seek one out and befriend them as described in your article. I did not know about "Sloggerbum" but he sounds very creative. Sorry to hear that he got caught up in the "sockpuppet accounts" thing. He must have been very concerned about his edited articles if he created additional accounts to control them (and risk being blocked). I have had an account since Aug 2009 but I edit only intermittently and generally subjects that most editors find boring I think, because they are never controversial. I really don't interact much with other people on here so I am not familiar with many other editors. My wife Lilithmoon1 just started an account with Wikipedia and I tried to talk her into being a WikiOtter, but she wanted to be a WikiPuma too ;-) I am sure she would like to meet the founder like I have ;-). Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. 2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
