Per
WP:SOCK, editors who edit as an IP separate from their account should carefully avoid any crossover on articles or topics, because even innocuous activities such as copy editing, wikifying, or linking might be considered sock puppetry in some cases and innocuous intentions will not usually serve as an excuse.
Per
WP:FIES, it is considered good practice to provide a summary for every edit, especially when deleting existing text; otherwise, people may question your motives for the edit. Accurate summaries help other contributors decide whether it is worthwhile for them to review an edit, and to understand the change should they choose to review it. When a major edit (e.g. deletion of a substantial amount of text) doesn't have an edit summary, there are fewer reasons to assume good faith and busy editors may be more inclined to revert the change without checking it in detail.

Hello S51438, Thanks for improving the Wisconsin Gubernatorial Recall 2012 page by removing the partisan GarinHartYang poll. Could you help me understand a "partisan" poll versus a "non-partisan" poll? My understanding is that "We Ask America" is a subsidiary of the Illinois Manufacturers Association which is an organization that has political goals and biases. The Reason-Rupe poll is a Libertarian affiliated organization--last time I check the Libertarians were a political party. Should these polls be taken off? The GarinHartYang poll was commissioned by the Barrett campaign--but I think it was produced following accepted polling methods. |

I've found no citations for your position on adding Utah to the template on SSM. Every article I've read says the state is likely to appeal. States have only been added to the template after the appeals process has concluded and SSM licenses have been issued. - Per your response: There is no obvious footnoted source, so that is a problem. But the totals on the Wiki page didn't match any mainstream source, if you'll note the talk page. So for the moment I think it would be best if you stopped changing the delegate totals, particularly without sources, pending resolution of these issues.

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Per
WP:SOCK, editors who edit as an IP separate from their account should carefully avoid any crossover on articles or topics, because even innocuous activities such as copy editing, wikifying, or linking might be considered sock puppetry in some cases and innocuous intentions will not usually serve as an excuse.
Per
WP:FIES, it is considered good practice to provide a summary for every edit, especially when deleting existing text; otherwise, people may question your motives for the edit. Accurate summaries help other contributors decide whether it is worthwhile for them to review an edit, and to understand the change should they choose to review it. When a major edit (e.g. deletion of a substantial amount of text) doesn't have an edit summary, there are fewer reasons to assume good faith and busy editors may be more inclined to revert the change without checking it in detail.

Hello S51438, Thanks for improving the Wisconsin Gubernatorial Recall 2012 page by removing the partisan GarinHartYang poll. Could you help me understand a "partisan" poll versus a "non-partisan" poll? My understanding is that "We Ask America" is a subsidiary of the Illinois Manufacturers Association which is an organization that has political goals and biases. The Reason-Rupe poll is a Libertarian affiliated organization--last time I check the Libertarians were a political party. Should these polls be taken off? The GarinHartYang poll was commissioned by the Barrett campaign--but I think it was produced following accepted polling methods. |

I've found no citations for your position on adding Utah to the template on SSM. Every article I've read says the state is likely to appeal. States have only been added to the template after the appeals process has concluded and SSM licenses have been issued. - Per your response: There is no obvious footnoted source, so that is a problem. But the totals on the Wiki page didn't match any mainstream source, if you'll note the talk page. There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
